Course Information
MovES Ltd can offer you a range of educational courses related to the NMAHM®.
The overview of the MovES Ltd NMAHM® courses highlighted on this web-site, give an indication of the potential for progression throughout a range of inter-linked modules.
MovES Ltd's “Introductory Module” may be taken as a ‘stand alone' process, but it (or equivalent input) is required as the entry to other modules of development.
The degree of any individual's development is generally informed by the level of knowledge, understanding, skill etc sought by that person.
Please contact MovES Ltd for further information about courses should you be unable to find the information you require on this site.
In addition to defined modules within our study pathways customised courses can also be offered according to individual, group or organisational need.
Course processes are informed by ongoing professional development activities followed by MovES Ltd personnel including course attendance, regular searching and review of contemporary research from a variety of disciplines and critical analysis of research findings and their potential for clinical application.
Knowledge acquired and understanding developed as NMAHM® practice continues to evolve is tested rigorously against established and new theories of practice and field-tested. It is only if information successfully withstands such challenges that it is incorporated and disseminated through MovES Ltd courses.
Over time MovES Ltd has become known for its pragmatic approach to dealing with human movement, including the analysis of movement and function, the assessment of movement dysfunction and for the retraining of functional movement and postural control.
Courses are taught primarily by Lesley and Sheila, or either of them accompanied by a MovES Ltd advanced student (someone who has successfully undertaken the credit-rated course, and is seeking further skills development.
e.g. to contribute towards Level 4 development), or an approved NMAHM® practitioner.
Study Modules/Courses
What are Moves Ltd Courses about?
MovES Ltd courses are mostly developed around the Neuromuscular Approach, and particularly the model encompassed within the NMAHM® concept of movement efficiency.
This model offers a valid, and evidence-based rationale for informing the apparently unchecked degree of musculo-skeletal suffering in the world.
At the same time it also offers reasoning as to why training in exercise,
muscle activation methods,
motor control stability, manual handling training may be either unsuccessful, or limited in positive effect.
The different course processes allow development of knowledge, skills and allow overview of how the Approach may be applied in different areas of personal and professional practice.
The degree of development of related aspects is followed to the degree permitted by the specification etc of the various course modules.
