For previous students: We have tried to keep as many of you as possible in the loop about current and impending changes in NMA/NMAHM® study and practice, and the reasons for such changes.

If you haven't been in touch, or visited the website for a while you may find some updated information that may impact upon you!

The sincere wish underpinning any changes introduced since you last had contact with the NMA/NMAHM® is that all those who have studied, practiced and truly and fairly evaluated the Approach consider it, and other persons involved in any element(s) of its practice, as important enough to warrant decisive action when necessary on behalf of Approach, its students and its recognised practitioners.

Just as the requirements associated with general professional practice have changed over the years so too have the educational processes related to NMA/NMAHM® particularly for those who wish to make any formal claim with regard to knowledge, skill and overall ability in relation to any aspect of professional practice of the Approach.

The changes mostly arise from audit of the effects and effectiveness of NMA/NMAHM® input, particularly the variation in organisational support for students during and after the study processes and the impact of this upon consolidating learning, and are further informed by ongoing monitoring of both legislation and professional practice/ practitioner requirements.

However the changes also may reflect professional situations which have infrequently arisen (e.g. misrepresentation of the NMA/NMAHM®, inappropriate claiming of NMA/NMAHM® knowledge/ skill, infringement of Intellectual Property ownership rights in general or with particular regard to copyright), and associated action required to be taken on behalf of the NMA/NMAHM®, originators, co-developers and bona fide students and practitioners of the Approach.
